- · 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes

- · 1 tsp dried basil
- · 1 tsp dried oregano
- · Salt and pepper to taste
- · 1/4 cup whole milk
For the Spaghetti:
- · 1 lb around 500 grams spaghetti
- · Salt
- · 2 tbsp olive oil
To Serve:
- · Grated Parmesan cheese
- · Fresh basil leaves torn

Method:
Step 1 - Preparing the Bolognese Sauce:
- · In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion, carrot, and celery, and cook until the vegetables are soft, about 10 minutes.
- · Add the garlic, beef, and pork to the pan. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until browned.
- · Add the red wine to the pan. Cook until the wine has reduced by half, about 5 minutes.
- · Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- · Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for at least 2 hours. The longer the sauce cooks, the richer the flavors will be.
- · Stir in the milk and cook for another 10 minutes. This is your Bolognese sauce.
Step 2 - Cooking the Spaghetti:
- · While the sauce is simmering, prepare the spaghetti.
- · Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- · Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, following the package instructions.
- · Drain the spaghetti and toss it with the 2 tbsp of olive oil to prevent it from sticking together.
Step 3 - Serving:
- · To serve, divide the spaghetti among serving plates.
- · Top with a generous amount of Bolognese sauce, a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese, and a few torn basil leaves.
